Welcome to the Scouts Homepage

This part of the website is for our Scouts Section – young people  Age 10½  to 14.
The leaders and more importantly the Patrol Leaders will provide news and updates of upcoming events and also reports of the exciting adventures & activities completed.

Scouts meet Friday evenings at HQ from 7.30 to 9.30 or alternative venues for events.

We offer a programme covering all aspects of scouting activities, and take part in most district events, such as  raft race, night activities, swimming gala and dragon boat racing.

Camping is an important part of the Scout Calendar, in the last 3 years we  have camped in Leicestershire, Worcestershire, and Staffordshire. 

We also try to do one special activity per school term e.g. Snowdome, 10-pin bowling, swimming.

We meet throughout the year, including school holidays, in the summer we get out and about, walks etc. as much as possible.

Yes it was a bit chilly at -6 on friday night but fantastic fun. Grass Sledging, Archery, Go Karting, Fencing, Crate Stacking, Craft, Twists, disco and cinema where just some of the activities available over the weekend.
We have confirmed our attendance for next year so make sure you add the thermals to the christmas list!!

Climbing at Windgather Rocks

Windgather Rocks certainly kept up to its name when 14 Scouts braved the wind and rain..... heavy rain..... downpour..... monsoon...... (you get the idea) on Saturday 20th May.
Excluding the rain and wind the day was great fun with all the Scouts achieving new heights and abseiling back down again.
Thanks to the County Climbing team for their attendance and guidance.

Scouts - Wilkinson Shield
Congratulations to the Scouts team for winning the Wilkinson Shield 2009.
The event took place at the Lickey Hills with four different challenge bases with tasks such as pitch and pack a tent, use a trangia stove and solve a puzzle. Well done guys.

 

 
 
Scouts - Badge Weekend
Well done to the Scouts for all achieving there badges at the District Badge Weekend. The Scouts had success in Pioneering, Master at Arms and Survival Skills. Special well done to Chris for cutting his leg and still managing to get through the night in a survival bag.....without the sleeping bag. A good effort from everyone.
